Do you have experience mentoring teens?
Have an interest in community-building?
You can apply to become a camp mentor!
Girls on Fire is welcoming input from professionals outside the fire, emergency and disaster management services into our camps in 2022.
We’re seeking to build enduring connections with youth-related professionals that have an interest in improving the outcomes available for teen girls.
Camp mentors are volunteers who come from other backgrounds related to education that are outside the fire, emergency and disaster related roles.
And/or in fields that have a focus on inclusion and diversity across race, sexuality, gender and disability.
These roles are to help strengthen and steer leadership initiatives and are subject to availability.
This program is currently under-development. As such, there may be some delay in receiving a response. Priority is given to mentors from the Indigenous, LGBT and disability communities.
You will also be screened for references and come to us with full endorsement and approval of your workplace. We reserve the right to decline any application that is not in keeping with our current goals and directions.
All applicants must be available to attend an online or in-person Mentor Induction program prior to commencement.
