Please briefly tell us why you would like to participate at the urban girls fire camps
and take part in the Girls Fire and Resilience program.
What camps interest you and why.
How you heard about us.
We’re looking for girls from all kinds of backgrounds and cultures that share one thing in common – a desire to make a change.
The success of the camp comes from giving a cross-section of girls this amazing opportunity regardless of your academic or social position, their location, heritage or connection to emergency services.
After registering, Girls on Fire will notify you of the camp details by email and send an information pack complete with details on what to expect at camp and next steps.
As part of Girls on Fire’s ongoing commitment to community safety, many of our urban girls fire camps are often held in towns that have been previously vulnerable to fire and disasters. We believe educating the next generation of young people in these towns improves the chances of risk mitigation and reduction in future. That’s why we give priority to running camps in towns that have previously faced disaster and/or extra consideration for applicants living in affected towns and regions.
All Girls on Fire programs incorporate the principles of respect, inclusion, safety and resilience. We encourage girls from Indigenous and culturally diverse backgrounds to apply. We are also a LGBTQIA+ safe space and welcome Non-Neurotypical applicants. We have a zero-tolerance policy for sexism, racism, homophobia or ableism.
Your safety is our priority. All the adults present at our urban girls fire camps and virtual programs hold a current Working with Children check, have undergone a police check and have received safety and induction training on all equipment and training exercises.
