Girls on Fire is looking for ten young people (girls AND boys) aged 14 to 19 to take part in a special filmed half-day program on Saturday, 20 December, at Bangholme VEMTC.
You could be in a documentary. Here's your shot to show the world what girls can do at a Girls on Fire program!
What’s happening?
We'll be doing a shorter, half-day version of our usual program for the filming. Participants will work in two small platoons of five and take part in practical fire and emergency exercises led by Girls on Fire and the CFA, and other fantastic emergency services. There'll be a BBQ afterwards to thank you for joining us.
What’s involved?
· Be available 9 am–1 pm, Saturday 20th December 2025
· Parent/guardian permission + signed filming waiver
· Interest in fire and emergency volunteering or careers
· Previous Girls on Fire experience is a bonus but not required
To join, you must be available from 9 am to 1 pm on the day and have permission from a parent or guardian, including signing a waiver to participate in the documentary. We’re especially looking for girls who are interested in fire and emergency services as volunteers or as a possible career path.
Previous Girls on Fire experience is helpful but not essential. The most important thing is that you're keen and up for some exercise, learning about emergencies, and a whole lot of fun in a friendly space!
This is a great chance for Girls on Fire and the agencies to get noticed, plus the young women will have an unforgettable time. If you know anyone between 14 and 19 who'd be perfect, tell them to apply.
